On the men’s side, sophomore Joe Mendez (Glendale, NY/St. Francis Prep) receives honorable mention distinction for the first time in his career.

October 20, 2011 Cross Country Battles Medgar Evers in Dual Meet BROOKLYN, NY – Both St. Joseph’s men’s and women’s cross country teams squared off with Medgar Evers in a dual meet with each school claiming one victory. St. Joseph’s women took the first five places for the win, but the Medgar men flipped the script for a win of their own.
October 12, 2011 Mangan, Lady Bears Win at Medgar Evers BROOKLYN, NY – St. Joseph’s women’s cross country team took first place honors at a three team meet in Prospect Park Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Bears’ top five all finished in the top ten out of 16 runners over the 1.8 mile course.
October 2, 2011 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Compete at Lehman Invitational BRONX, NY – St. Joseph’s College men’s and women’s cross country teams ran at the Lehman Lightning Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park. Junior Teresa Mangan (Cleveland, OH/St. Joseph's) led the way on the women’s side with a 21st place finish and Joe Chiusano (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund's ) finished in 38th place to pace the men.
September 28, 2011 Mangan Captures Hudson Valley Runner of the Week BROOKLYN, NY – Junior Teresa Mangan (Cleveland, OH/St. Joseph's) opened up her season this past Sunday at the Hunter Invitational with a ninth place finish. Mangan completed the 3.1 mile course at Van Cortlandt Park in 22:24 and was the top Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) finisher, and was honored by being selected the HVWAC Runner of the Week in an announcement made by the conference.
September 25, 2011 Mangan's Top Ten Finish Paces Cross Country BRONX, NY – St. Joseph’s men’s and women’s cross country teams opened up their season Sunday afternoon at the Hunter Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park. Junior Teresa Mangan (Cleveland, OH/St. Joseph's) was the top finisher for the Lady Bears, placing ninth in the field of 128 women with a time of 22:24 over the 3.1 mile course. She was the top finisher for all Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference competitors.

The Bears and Lady Bears will be guided by new head coach Joe Hoffmann, who takes over for Mark Carbone who coached the team for three years.
October 24, 2010 Mangan Takes Third Place At Season Ending Hudson Valley Championships PURCHASE, NY – On a beautiful, sunny fall day, sophomore Teresa Mangan (Cleveland, OH/St. Joseph's) finished on the podium for the second time this season, third place overall, at the 2010 Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships held at Purchase College.
October 17, 2010 Mangan Sixth at York Invitational BRONX, NY - Two weeks after setting the school record in the women’s 5K, sophomore Teresa Mangan(Cleveland, OH/St. Joseph's) broke the school record in the 6K at the York Invitational on Sunday at Van Cortlandt Park. Her time of 26:40 was good for sixth place overall, breaking the previous record of 29:59 by over three minutes. Alyssa Collier from Ocean College won the meet in 25:29. The Lady Bears finished 14th as a team with 323 points.
October 3, 2010 Mangan Sets School Record at Lehman Invitational BRONX, NY - Sophomore Teresa Mangan (Cleveland, OH/St. Joseph's) set a school record Sunday in the women’s 5K race at the Lehman Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park. Mangan's time of 21:13 shattered the previous record of 23:28, which she also held, from the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) meet last year. She took a podium spot, finishing third overall in the race, just 31 seconds behind the winner and the Lady Bears placed ninth as a team in the 13 team field.

September 24, 2010 Women Sixth, Men Ninth at Stevens Invitational JERSEY CITY, NJ - Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams competed on Friday at the Stevens Invitational at Liberty State Park in New Jersey. The women scored 69 points to finish sixth in the nine team field, the highest finish for the program at the Invitational, while the men finished ninth with 106 points.
September 9, 2010 Mark Carbone Announced As New Cross Country Coach BROOKLYN, NY – Athletic Director, Frank P. Carbone, is pleased to announce the hiring of Mark Carbone as the new head coach for the St. Joseph’s College men’s and women’s cross country teams. This will be Mark’s second stint with St. Joseph’s College, as he was also the head cross country coach in 2004-2005.
