The Lady Bears (0-6) completed their Arizona trip on Saturday afternoon, dropping their third doubleheader in as many days after falling 8-0 in five innings to both Pacific Lutheran University and No. 19 ranked Central College (Iowa).
Lady Bears softball (0-4) continued their Arizona trip with a doubleheader loss on Friday, dropping game one 11-3 in six innings to The University of Pudget Sound (4-18) and losing the doubleheader capper 8-0 in five innings to The University of Minnesota-Crookston (4-14).
St. Joseph's softball (0-2) dropped both ends of their season-opening doubleheader on Thursday as part of their six-game set in the Tucson Invitational Games, falling 7-0 to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (11-4) and 3-0 against Denison University (5-2).
Four Bears recorded double-doubles, but St. Joseph's came out on the wrong end of a tightly contested five-set affair for first place in the HVIAC. The match featured 37 ties and 19 lead changes, with each set determined by less than four points.
